Misfits. The Abbreviated Version

Misfits
Cerberus is a special group within the CIA that is mostly tasked with keeping a wide-spreading terrorist organization called Nachzehrer in check which doesn’t always work out as well as they wish it would. Joseph and Stella Barnes, Dennis Lawson and D.M. “Hobbie” Hobszilauszski are all Cerberus agents and Dennis and Stella who don’t agree about anything decide to put together an espionage group so bizarre that it gets dubbed Misfits by the rest of Cerberus. Joseph, Stella’s husband and Dennis’ best friend, supervises the whole thing.
The Misfits are composed of Face Ramsey, a disfigured former actor, Tom Brennan, a very insensitive doctor, Jane Foster, daughter of a drug lord, Wes Janson, oversexed cowboy with the mind of a seven year old, Kenneth Tanner, former police officer, Tyler Parks, a contortionist with para-military training, Lynn Skimmer, vehicle expert, and for a very brief time, Kev Darren, young overachiever with a near photographic memory.
As time goes on, Hobbie, a torturer, Lara Harper, master of disguise and double agent for Nachzehrer, Shania Newton, powerhouse of the team, Hank McDonald, a sniper with PTSD, and Shirley Foster, Jane’s sister and drug addict, join the team while quite a few leave the team due to death or other problems.
The team suffers a major shakedown when Joseph defects to Nachzehrer and is killed after shooting Stella who was pregnant with his child at the time. After that, Dennis and Stella leave the team and Face takes over which leads to one major disaster after the other. Eventually, Dennis and Stella have to come back because they find out just how much of a mess things have become during their absence.
After six years, the team is officially disbanded, being considered a failure.
The cast also includes Ahmik Bishop, businessman extraordinaire, his adult children Lilah and Lucas, his right hand responsible for all the dirty work, Mara Ivanov, a former Russian spy and computer expert Wintet.
Outsiders
Four years after the Misfits have been disbanded, Face starts to receive messages that indicate that something is seriously wrong within Cerberus and that he has to do something against it but can’t contact anyone who has been a regular Cerberus agent which leaves him no choice but to get some of the Misfits back together, though not all of them are fair game.
This turns out to be harder than expected since a lot of them have settled down and are a little weary of anything with Face in a leadership position. Face convinces Hobbie, who has been working in insurance and has developed a heart condition, to join up and keep him in check so things don’t go wrong once again. Hobbie isn’t exactly someone he should have recruited but he sees no way around it.
Face also recruits Wes who has fallen out with Hobbie once again, partially because he doesn’t believe in heart conditions. Wes, by now married to a senior citizen called Gladys whom he hates, is the most excited about having an opportunity to escape his mundane life (and Gladys). Shania brings her boyfriend Nick, a parole officer, along who serves as somewhat of a rival for Face. Lara, Lynn (dating Hank though she isn’t sure how that ever happened), Mandy (a young, naive secretary Face hires) and Kenneth (who is still at odds with everyone else) round out the team. Also, Kev is always suspiciously nearby.
Their headquarter is set up in a warehouse that Face bought and they work under the cover of Outsiders Inc. while they try to discover what’s going on at Cerberus.
(I have to be cryptic about that because, to be honest, I haven’t gotten that far in plotting.)
Cruel
This is where everything got started. I was fourteen, visiting my grandma and that’s where I came up with the story that would spawn this entire canon.
This
is the story of Janna, (oldest child of Harris and Lilah Solen) in high school. Janna, 16/17, takes centerstage as she decides that, no matter how stupid, she should pursue her feelings for Kev, friend of the family ever since she can remember, 30 years old and her English teacher. He tries to spurn her advances despite having feelings for her as well but fails as time goes on. At the same time, Janna tries to get Kev out of her mind by dating Jack who just moved to town, pulling him right into the whole mess along with her. In the end, Kev leaves town once he realizes how stupid it is of him to have entered an affair with Janna and Jack, who finds out about it, breaks up with Janna.
There are a million subplots about Jason and Ahmik, Janna’s brothers who are far less decisive than her.
Finding Me and Letting Go
Three years after Cruel, Janna and friends are still around, going to college, etc.
Janna and Jack have reunited but at the beginning of this story, Janna breaks up with him, feeling that this isn’t going anywhere. In the end, they become very close friends.
Jason briefly finds love, then gets more miserable and finally, joins Doctors Without Borders where he meets Dani and everything would be perfect if not for the fact that his ex, Kyla, is pregnant with his daughter though she never tells him.
Kev comes back to Arkham, married to Lara and with a young daughter called Maya. And when Janna runs into him, she realizes, that she still has feelings for him.
As the years pass, Lara dies of pancreatic cancer, devastating Kev.

There isn’t really all that much in that category, mostly, Maya and Ben (Lucas’ and Mara’s son) all grown up and their personal lives. I have more planned, but then, I always have more stuff planned.
