Finally, an almost normal week. Today, Remco will be out late at work, and he'll be able to sleep in tomorrow. Wednesday we'll play Shadowrun with the entire gang again, after a hiatus. Thursday I'll head to R'dam after work. Saturday we'll finally play Pathfinder again and we'll see what our heroes do about the dragonmask, the dragons and the paladins.
We spent the weekend at Charm and I'm very glad the weather was better than it is now. Not sunny enough to get sunburnt, too chilly to really get sweaty, not rainy enough to stay inside. No complaints about the weather, even though the evenings were cold. We both survived Charm without major injuries or other complaints, the game proceeded the way Charm always does: well-organised, good fun with plenty to eat and drink and a bunch of really nice people.
I work six hours per day now, and that's going better than I feared it might. My colleagues are nice and laid-back. There is a mutual respect that I really missed when I was still part of IT. Now I'm really part of a team.
I noticed this weekend that when people I hadn't seen in a while asked me how I'm doing, for the first time in a long while, I can honestly say: pretty good. Life is rather peachy suddenly. Sure, I can mope about being too tired from work to play Guildwars 2, or that I'm nervous to meet my new shrink, or that I still have to clean the entire house because it's been a mess ever since the gardeners were here, but really, those are not problems. I have no problems. Life is good. I'm going to take it easy.
