MOTHERFUCKINHUMPER BATMAN!!!

I've had some shit happen lately so prepare for lots of ranting, venting & useless information LOL.

To start, I have 10 days before I fly out to Georgia to visit Lucas. Well a big ass wrench was thrown into the mix this last Friday. Poor Lucas has to have surgery on his foot & then continue with some physical therapy (aka PAINFUL FUCKIN SHIT). He won't be staying at his own house, but at his Grandma's so he has someone with him at all times & is close to his doctor & to the therapist. Unfortunately this means I have to stay somewhere else & since I was planning on staying with him, and have very little $$$, I was freaking out. I had two options really. One was to change my flight date out a week but that would have cost $85 minimum cause airlines are pricks these days & not only make you pay a fee to change the date but to pay the difference in flights. My other option was try to find somewhere else to stay. So I was freakin out cause I don't have the $$$ to change my flight & couldn't afford a hotel either. Thankfully my friend Alex is going to let me stay with him at his place in Atlanta. It's not 100% set, but seemed to be a good 90%+ chance. He just has to talk to his roomie but he thought she wouldn't have any problem with it at all. Well that made me feel better but then I was worried about transportation & whether I could get to where Lucas would be so I could see him. Good news is that Alex lives right by a Marta station. Marta is the public trans train system in Atlanta. Lucas' grandma lives just a couple blocks from another Marta station so I shouldn't have any problems getting to & from to see Lucas. So as shitty as it all seemed at first, it turns out it may be better that things are happening this way. Lucas' lives a ways north of Atlanta & isn't near a lot so if we wanted to do anything we would have to get in the car & drive. This way we are in the city & have easy access & if I can't see Lucas or want to do somethin else, I can without much of a hassle. I will also get to spend more time with Alex which I am happy about. So there's that drama LOL

Ok now to the other thing. My Dad hasn't been able to work for almost two years now, but this past year has been the worst. He has several issues going on but he main thing is that he has Hepatitis C, which he got from a blood transfusion when he was a teenager. He is also deaf in one ear & hard of hearing in the other. Anyway, months back him & my mom filled out the Social Security paperwork with the help of his doctor. We had to wait a couple months then they wanted him to go have an independent exam, which he had less than a month ago. Well last night when I went to get the mail, there was a letter from the SS department. Now my parents are out of town visiting my grandma so I opened it & read it. I had a knot in my stomach from the time I got it out of the mailbox because I knew it could have bad news in it. Well I opened it & read through it then promptly had to sit down. I cried, then called my mom & dad to let them know the news. He qualified for the medical disability, which just lifts so much off of all our shoulders. Just have to wait on the other part for non-medical but thats just paperwork so its not set in stone, but looks like my dad should get his SS goin soon. Makes me feel so much better, for several reasons. See, I moved in with my parents back in early May. One reason is I needed to move anyway since the landlord of the house I was in wanted us all out by June, but the other reason is is that my parents needed my help. With Dad not working & Mom on SS herself (shes disabled, got hit by a car almost 12 years ago), they weren't making ends meet & were about to lose everything. Now my aunt lives with them but shes on SS as well, also disabled, so I moved here to help out $$$ wise & other wise, since there are things that the three of them can't do. This whole time we were all worried what we were all going to do. At least now I know that things are going to be ok & I won't have to worry so much. The other thing about it all is that my dad has never taken stress well & with him havin Hep C, as well as GERD (severe acid reflux), it makes it worse cause he gets sick. In the three months I have been living here, he has been sick more than I have seen him in years. It scared the shit out of me cause his health isn't good to start with. I am just thankful things seem to be going in a good direction now. I am hoping my dad will be get better & my parents a bit more financially stable so I won't have to worry about them so much, let alone have them worry about themselves.

Ok, on to other news. I am still making the costumes for DragonCon but decided since I am not good at sewing yet, that I would go to WalMart & get a cheap easy pattern & cheap fabric to practice on before moving on to my costumes. Now my mom is helping me but with her not home right now, I thought I would get a start on things. Well, I did get a pattern for a skirt but I didn't get cheap fabric LOL. Now its not spendy fabric, but it's something I don't want to fuck up on because it is sooo fuckin cute.

I am going to make a skirt out of it. It isn't for DCon specifically, but if it turns out ok, I may wear it there. We see how it goes. So since I didn't quite follow my plan I decided that I will just cut out all the patterns & fabric & get things prepped for my mom. I may try sewin one shirt by myself since I realized I do have enough fabric to make an extra shirt if I fuck up LOL I think I will also go ahead & hem up my skirt for my school-girl outfit. It should be easy since its nothing fancy. If I can't do a hem, I'm doomed LOL

I also acquired two new pairs of shoes while at WalMart the other night. One pair is a cork style flip flop like sandal that has a 1-2" sole on it. They are cute but scream HICK LOL I don't care though cause they go with anything & I liked them, plus they were on clearance hehe. The other pair are something no one would think I would buy. I just couldn't resist them though. I like to call them my Cinderella Jelly Slippers LOL They were like $7 or $8 so eh I had to get them, even if I never wear them & keep them just for a conversation piece. YAY for cheap shoes! Here's some pics, though be warned they are kinda shitty cause I took them with my camera phone & the one with me wearin the jelly slippers is outside in the dark....don't ask LOL

Aside from all that, I don't think a lot has happened. Oh, wait, I did get to go see the movie The Bourne Ultimatum & I must say it was AWESOME. I enjoyed the first two but this one was much much better than both. It is much easier to follow plot wise which I liked. Don't need to see it twice just to figure out wtf is going on. It still had badass action sequences & Matt Damon lookin pretty hot LOL Anyway, good movie & I highly recommend it. I also bought two dvds; Hot Fuzz & 300. I get to watch 300 on a big screen tv so thats awesome LOL Hmm not a lot else goin on that I can think of. Well nothing I will post anyway. Guess that's it for now.

*looks at the amount I typed.........realizes I need to fuckin post more often so I don't have to write a damn novella when updating*

Til next time...

MAHNA!
