So give 'em the story, they want, you to...
I don't really have anything to write about. But I guess... I dunno... people read this?
I just want people to know I'm alive, and life is well.
So here's life lately.
Being vegetarian:
+ Feel more healthy
+ Cheaper groceries
+ KARMA
- Cannot even check out the Chicken Express.
Roomates:
+ Good company
+ Random vegan meals, cooked and ready
+ Mutton chops AND communism... seriously!
That girl we let sleep on our couch two nights a week:
+ Is not actually in love with me (roomate thought Nate was gullible, turned out to be right)
+ Is kind of fun to talk to sometimes
- Gets annoying after two days
- Gets worse when we invite her to hang out Friday night, too.
Alcoholic neighbor across the street:
+ Great conversation piece
- Heavy, hard to lift off of the front steps
- Quickly realizes water is not bourbon - doesn't appreciate Nates sneakiness.
Grad School:
+ Intellectual stilumation... never bad.
+/- A lot of reading.
- It turns out they kick if you out if you score a C for a final class grade. Really.
Teaching Assistantship:
+ I get my own desk, in an office full of awesome fellow TAs.
+ Dress code: Flip flops, pants, and MBD shirt.
+ $$$
+ Making fun of students, never NOT fun.
+ The ones who make fun of me back.
- Grading quizzes.
- Seeing the look on students faces when they see their quiz score.
- That girl who glares at me a lot.
+ That guy who sits next to her... too funny.
- Responsibility.... *sigh*
Hot Blonde Girl:
+ Sits next to me during guest lecture
+ ...despite the fact that her friend saved her a seat...
+ ...which she specifically asked him to do.
+ Seemed impressed by drunken backyard lecture on ecofeminism.
+ Probably knows what "phenomenological ontology" is.
- Probably still out of my league.
- It would never work.
So yeah. I guess... thats life?
Nothing exciting, but life is good.
I hope everyone is well... even the people I don't like.
<3 Nate XOXO
P.S. I started listening to Coheed again. Final got Good Apollo.
Star IV is burning as we speak...
