sickly week; enjoyable weekend
i was sick for a week and didnt report for work so I had a lot of rest which wasn't really like pleasurable rest because my sickness was so painful. i had mouth ulcers in my throat's arch so there was burning sensation whenever i gulp or swallow. i can hardly eat anything good and had to settle with only liquids like cereal drink and coffee mainly. haha! i salivate when i passby an interesting food stall packed with food photos all over their wall or surf through cable TV and end up seeing Nigella sauteeing her veggies in HD-format which looks so real. sheez i was so kawawa and I don't want that to happen again. i lost weight and i was alone in a foreign island so i just have to do everything i can to be well. good thing, all my medications are free. thanks to my company. i didnt shell out a single penny. due to that experience, I bought a year's supply of vitamin C and multivitamins which again now i take everyday. i totally ignored it when i finished my 300-tab bottle. it has always been in my mind and preach that taking multi or vit C is your long term insurance. it protects us from sickness but i was stubborn or too frugal maybe so that sickness was my consequence or "reminder". I don't want that to happen again.
monday/tuesday - rest at home and sick
wednesday - tried to work but got weak and feverish later the day
thursday/friday - rest at home and sick. got bored, tried to go to Ikea to buy some stuff. LOL!
well o well, now i am back in the office and ok. back to working like a dog. ruff! ruff!
sunday it was before monday right? LOL! and there were a lot of firsts during that day (or maybe the week).
- first tunnel marathon (a bad marathon. i'll post about it separately)
- first time in Tampines area
- first time in fitness first's new branch at fusionopolis. i'll post the amazing photos of the pool and the architecture.
- first time in buona vista area
- first time in Kovan area
- first time a property of mine was stolen at our place. (i'll post separately). and so they say...low crime doesnt mean no crime.

saturday night prior to the tunnel marathon, omar and i was at a SAFRA Mount faber party. we were part of the first 100 guests entitled to free-flowing drinks. omar won 5th place in the sub-zero beer drinking contest. he got a %50 jetstar voucher. a $70 Polar athlete's watch, a Fabulous Tanning class voucher (which he gave to me since he doesnt need it...see the pic below hehe)...i need it!! haha!

saturday afternoon i was at our dragonboat's competition to support and cheer them up. our team finished 5th place. not bad in around 15 teams maybe for the Corporate category. the CamSur Philippine Team was a powerhouse. they were so good. pulling their boat far away from the others to the finish line.
