Just when all hope is lost, It's time for...

an update! *the crowd cheers*

So the internet in my room is down. Not anyone else’s, just mine. For those of you who have never done it before, reinstalling an OS without an internet connection is not fun. I wasn’t even doing anything horribly illegal to cause it to go down. It just said, “I’m done, you can fall in a well and die.” (bonus points if you can tell me where that’s from) For all of you wondering how I am updating, I found a way to transmit my thoughts directly to LJ. But anyway, the Lappy (now named Kronos) has attained new levels of 1337. For the http://homestarrunner.com fans out there, when the Lappy shuts down I get a wonderful blue screen telling me “computer over, virus = very yes”.

But moving on to more pressing matters, maybe… Math, in all its cleverly disguised flavors, has decided to eat my soul this semester. I’ll give 1000 points to the person who solves this first (Justo, you don’t count): y”+2y’+y=0. And believe it or not, that’s a really easy one. I now realize why they don’t let EE majors minor in math. We’re really just math majors anyway; the only difference is that our math can result in painful electric shocks if we mess up.

I am really looking forward to the Korn concert on March 20. It shall be awesome, and we shall take away Katie’s concert virginity properly. I have no idea why I switched to the third person right there, but I refuse to change it. Anyway, that will be cool assuming I’m still passing all my classes at that point. Also, my cult films class is the greatest course I have ever taken. So far we’ve watched Night of the Living Dead, Rocky Horror Picture Show, a John Water’s film or our choice, and Eraserhead. For those of you who have never seen Eraserhead you should watch it, and be confused until you realize what the director is trying to do. Then everything makes perfect sense, and the fact that it all makes sense is amazing.

Work at acomp is also going really well, which only has a drawback in that I really don’t like working at GameStop now. At acomp, when I solve someone’s computer problem, that problem is fixed for at least a semester; at GameStop, I can organize the entire store and by time I get back it will be a wreck. It’s frustrating and I don’t think I would still be there if it weren’t for the discount and the fact that the manager is a friend.

Let’s see, what else can I talk about… Oh! On inspiration from http://manga.clone-army.org/nana.php I decided to watch Elfen Lied and it was pretty interesting. It’s not often that you get an anime with all the drama of Chobits and all the blood and gore of Berserk. Not to mention the theme song is glorious. So that was my new anime rant.

I believe I’ve run out of things that I can say to keep from doing my statistics homework so I suppose I will leave.

*Doesn’t actually go anywhere*
