(no subject)
Well... today was a very good day. i got some really good sleep (not long but the really hard sleep that is just awesome). Then i had an awesome day at school where i did nothing but talk with my friends that i might not ever see again. It is sad that some of these awesome people that i have gotten to know over the past few years i will never see again after these next couple of weeks. Such is life though, eh?
Anyways, after school i came home and talked with my friend Ashley for a while when Mariah showed up at my house. i was surprised but glad to see her, walks with her are always memorable, and i kinda wanted to get out of the house. Anyways, after we got far enough away from one of our houses that we couldnt easily run back, it started to rain. i wasnt complaining, it was absolutely beautiful. i love the rain, it seems to make everything nature stand out, and it reminds me of something pure and sweet that we all reach for. Reaching for the heavens is commonly attempted but rarely accomplished. This afternoon i felt like i got closer that many people get in a lifetime. Well, by the time we got anywhere, we were both soaking wet. We stopped by my house to pick up some dry clothes, then we headed back to Mariah's house. While Mariah was changing i had a very pleasant conversation with her grandmother. Despite how unfair i think that she is being, regarding Mariah, i still found her to be a very nice person. After we ate some food, we put in Donnie Darko. HOLY SHIT! That movie rocks my world. Neither of us had seen it yet, it was awesome. It was one of the most thought-provoking movies i have ever seen. It still has me thinking, which is good. That is a good sign of a great movie, hours after you watch it you are still enveloped in thought about it.
Anyways, it was a very enjoyable afternoon. After the movie, Zachary and Hannah arrived and we went and returned the movie and went to Sara's house to say hello and to settle some arguments. i'll write about that later. We seriously spent the whole car ride laughing. Anyways, it was a lot of fun spending all this time with my best friends. Then i went back home and said goodnight to my father, who i am starting to worry about, and talked to a bunch of people while playing a minesweeper. Now we reach the point in the story when it stops because i have reached the present.
My next entry will include some insight on what i think of Donnie Darko, and of life in general. Until that time, i look forward to seeing you.
