Went to the Fleetwood Mac concert tonight at PNC Bank Arts
Center. It was the best concert I have
ever seen. When I saw them last May, I
liked them a lot, but didn’t know their old material. But over the summer, I came to know their old songs, and now I know
every lyric and they’re my favorite band, so this concert was a dream come true
for me tonight. Our seats were
amazing. We were in the 26th
row of the first section on stage left.
They were so close! It was
like watching them perform on the PLHS stage…no further. I was very disappointed that they didn’t
play “Destiny Rules” or “Silver Springs” like they were SUPPOSED TO, but it
really didn’t matter all that much, because the set list was incredible and had
everything I wanted them to play. Here’s
the set list (in order):
The Chain, Dreams, I Know I'm Not Wrong, Peacekeeper, Second
Hand News, Say You Will, Never Going Back Again, Rhiannon, Come, Sara, Big
Love, Landslide, Say Goodbye, Red Rover, Beautiful Child, Gold Dust Woman, I'm
So Afraid, Tusk, Stand Back, Go Your Own Way, World Turning, Don't Stop,
Goodbye Baby
“Goodbye Baby” was not originally on the set list, but when I
saw that they were ending with that song, it made me tear as Stevie sang it
because it is such a beautiful song and a great piece to end with.
Although I loved every song played tonight, the ones I most
enjoyed were “The Chain,” “Come,” “Sara,” “Say Goodbye,” “Red Rover,” “Gold
Dust Woman,” and “Goodbye Baby.”
Lindsey totally blew me away tonight.
I always loved him, but tonight he just totally hypnotized me with his
performances. I think I enjoyed his
songs the most (especially the new arrangement of “Red Rover”).
The set list was just such an amazing collection of
songs. For a hard-core Fleetwood fan
like me, it was heaven. I enjoyed myself
so much tonight, and my love for them has tripled (which I didn’t
think was possible). “Rock on gold dust
woman…”
