My FIRST media party :D
Got invited to the STLife! Media Party @ Novus last night and here are a couple of random thoughts/comments:
- There are a disproportionate number of ‘happy’ men in the media.
- Media parties are a great place for celeb spotting.
- People dress as if they would on a club night out, complete with heavy make-up and super false eyelashes!
- Andrea Fonsenka actually looks like a tranny from certain angles.
- Andrea Fonsenka’s bald ang moh boyfriend is shorter than her (ok, maybe they’re the same height cuz she was wearing 4 inch heels!)
- Pass out your namecards like they’re free.
- Enjoy the free champagne, wine, and housepours. I got buzzed after a glass of white wine, a whisky coke and vodka 7-up cuz I drank on an empty stomach.
- Shamelessly ask to have your picture taken by the designated photographer just so you’ll possibly appear in online albums which feature the most happening parties around town. I wasn't the shameless one for once though :P
- Get used to bumping into friends who work in the PR industry. Who says business and pleasure don’t mix? :P
