As I've said many times and some of my other blogs: "it's been a while since I last posted here!"
I like to write and sometimes I just want a space to do it. Recently I've found that LJ is a good site to post everything that goes through my mind, but since I don't want it to be a site full of nonsense and random stuff, I've decided to dedicate this LJ site to all my Japanese/Oriental likes. That includes dramas, actors, singers, bands, anime, travel and such things.
And talking 'bout the devil.. I've recenlty become attached to certain Jpop band.. Arashi. And the reason, well... If you need a reason then I might as well share it: Matsumoto Jun.
I've known him since I saw Hana Yori Dango some time ago.. I'm not sure when was the first time I watched it (yes, there's been more than once) but I didn't really care much. I mean, there's no way I can love another role more than Domyouji Tsukasa, but I don't know. It's true that he's the one that's made me watch it a few more times, but that was all to it. I saw Matsujun in a few other dramas and movies, like Gokusen, Kimi wa Petto, Boku wa Imouto ni koi wo suru, and lately, Lucky Seven. Right now I'm watching Bokura no Yuuki and it's fun to see chibi Matsujun ^^
Anyway.. It could've remained the way I felt towards him if I hadn't seen him on my last trip to Japan (second trip, actually). As I said, he's someone I admired, but not too close, but when I saw him too close, well, that changes things! It's something that I'll never forget! He walked pretty close from where I was standing and even stopped a little bit. Since I'm more of a shy person, all I did was stood and watch. Didn't yell, call him or whatever thing to caught his attention. Someone said that he could've approached since it was certain that I was a foreigner, but the thing is that I didn't do anything. I just stared with this huge grin on my face.
So, that's what changed things. Since that day on, all that I've been listening to is Arashi. And I don't even have all of their music! But I bought Beautiful World from a record store in Hiroshima :) It's not like right now I have enough money to buy their stuff from cdjapan :(
Anyway.. I wont try to convince anyone that I like Matsujun more than I seem to, but I just wanted to share this. He's an amazing actor and I just love the fact that I could see him in person. He's just the same, with that "Domyouji-a-like" almighty air.
arashi,
matsujun
