'Words don't come easy to me'

Ok, so last night I was giggling to myself in that hyper-oh-god-im-sleep-deprived kind of way about words and the way the make people react...
I remember on the show Dead Like Me after George died she told us how her mother Joy hated the word 'moist'. It got me thinking about how my mum has always hated the words vomit (throw up) and dunny (toilet)... And how as a brat of a kid I used to tell her I was gonna go vomit in the dunny all the time (thats when the giggling started).
That got me thinking of words I hate... and really I dont hate any... but I hate words that are out of place... Like, reading smut and someone says 'he suckled on her breast' or whatever... and immediately my mind thinks 'oh christ, kiddy porn' and thats OH SO WRONG.
Ass is a pretty common word... not particularly offensive and here in Oz is a type of donkey... We spell it arse... and that word to me, spelt that way is kind of... I dunno, pornographic. Theres just something about it. Kinda how I love the word 'slick' for the very same reason.
My fave word has to be 'bastard', it can be applied to so many situations! Its quite emphatic in that hilarious way.
