3 - No.

I hate when people make the argument regarding breeding their dogs that "they're my dogs and who are you to tell me what I can do with them?!"

Well...you know who I am?

I'm the concerned pet owner who has too many dogs because I take in every stray I can and try to find them homes.
I'm the veterinary assistant who has to deal with people getting puppies they can't really care for and shouldn't have.
I'm the shelter worker who has to clean up after your litters.
I'm the veterinary technician who volunteers in a shelter, euthanizing literally hundreds of dogs and cats a week because you wanted to show your little Suzy the miracle of birth rather than adopting a "broken" shelter pet.

I'm their guardian angel, and you're killing them.

Fuck you.

As for "well, there are children starving in a third world country..."
Yes, I know. I feel bad about it. But I can do nothing for them, at this time. I'm broke and in America. They're...in a third world country. Tell me what I can do for them. You can give a shit about more than one thing at a time.
Who knew?!

Pet overpopulation is everyone's problem. Just because you don't have to look at it, doesn't mean it isn't there. Take responsibility for your actions. There are consequences for other, very real, very feeling, living beings in this game, and you don't even care. You just want to satisfy your own wants and needs and it's okay if literally dozens of millions of dogs are dumped in landfills a year because you don't have to see it.
Well, I do. And I'm tired of it. Animals are not just your property; they have some rights. I don't want dogs to be given the right to vote, but don't they deserve legal protection against unnecessary pain and suffering? Against unneeded violence? Against - dare I say it - irresponsible "parents?"

Because I'm a "nice guy" on alacrity. /headache

edit: I'm so mad I could just cry. God, how can people keep thinking that way when I have literally had to haul bags of dead bodies to the trash?
What? I. What? No. Fucking no.
