I was just in mid-conversation with a friend of mine about how facebook has killed blogs for all but the semi-professional. That made me think to do a round of my old blog stomping grounds. Y'all definitely made me eat my words. That's awesome to see people still sharing on here.
The conversation also got me thinking about the advantages of blogging in the facebook-age. In retrospect I can't believe that I haven't fired this thing back up in such a long time. It's astounding when I think about how many times I had a issue to bounce off other people or share somethings that I didn't necessarily want all of facebook to see. I suppose it's better to be late than to never arrive. Or, in this case, would it be too early?
I suspect part of me had somewhat of a mental block to the prospect of blogging again. The idea dredged up too many instances of puberty-fueled nonsense escaping into the world instead of fizzling out in quiet dignity. You know, like everything else in high school. If I'm being honest with myself, putting that insanity to written words did help me process some things.
So to hell with quiet dignity, I feel like folding some quarter-life crisis in with the puberty-fueled nonsense. Anything to promote insanity.
