Ginny smiled but didn't take her eyes from the books. "You sound like my brother Charlie. He's obsessed with dragons. Which is good considering her works with them in Romania."
She grabbed and book and flipped through it for a second before replacing it on the shelf.
Ginny nodded. "Charlie sure loves it. He also goes on and on about it until you tell him to shut it. I mean sometimes talking about something that's not dragons is a good thing. Plus we've all heard his stories a million and a half times."
"I bet his stories are fascinating!" Nate sighed, wondering what type of adventures he found himself on. He felt a pang of jealousy. Ginny obviously didn't appreciate the stories the way he would.
Ginny looked up at Nate when she heard the wistfulness in his voice. He obviously was as into dragons as Charlie was but just didn't have his own stories yet.
"You know what? How about you come with me to family dinner this weekend? Charlie is in town for another week. I'm sure he would love to tell you all his stories." Charlie was always happy to have a new audience for his stories.
Nate opened his mouth to respond but found himself speechless. He placed his hand over his heart as if he was truly touched by Ginny's invitation - and he was.
"Really?" he asked, the excitement peaking in his voice. "Merlin, that sounds amazing."
Ginny chuckled. The complete awe and amazement in Nate's voice was adorable. She could already tell he'd sit through Charlie's stories for hours on end, unlike the family.
"Yeah. Not a problem. Mum will be thrilled to have a new mouth of feed and Charlie is always happy for a new audience."
She replaced the book she was looking at back on the shelf and shuffled down the row. She reached the end of the row and turned around the side to start up the next one. Never worried that Nate wouldn't follow her.
Nate was suddenly thankful he had followed Ginny into the store and held her planner hostage. For a moment there he was beginning to feel guilty for it but, like Nikki always told him, things happen for a reason.
"I would love to!" He could barely contain himself and was almost shouting at this point.
Ginny turned her head and smiled at Nate. "Wonderful. Family dinner is on Sundays at six. Want to meet up at the Floo at five?" Ginny figured that would give Nate and Charlie a few minutes to talk before Molly forced them all to the table and stuff them with food.
At this point Nate could only nod enthusiastically. He was finally going to have something worth discussing with Dwayne later that night. He was beginning to fear that the frog was getting bored with his life.
Ginny smiled a bit brighter at Nate. "Wonderful." She paused then, not knowing if she should say bye to him or not. It's not as if she went around inviting guys home for dinner often or, really, at all.
Ginny nodded. "Okay. I'll see you Sunday." She wasn't sure if she should go right back to looking at the books or not. Instead she just blushed slightly and nervously poked around the books right in front of her.
She grabbed and book and flipped through it for a second before replacing it on the shelf.
