Passing of my Uncle Kenny
Dear Friends,
It is with real deep sadness that I inform you of the death of my Uncle Ken McBee. He died around 10:00 Sunday night. We brought him home Friday/Saturday in the early morning. Jan Care took an ambulance to Richmond, VA where he lived with his girlfriend, Lois. They brought him to my Aunt's house in Arthurdale, WV where he has been under Hospice Care since his arrival. He was under heavy med's to keep him comfortable and he slept the whole time and all day Saturday and Sunday.
He heard us talk with him and made sounds as if to tell us something and to join in our conversations, especially if the conversation was about the Mountaineers. He was a huge fan of the football team; the local announcer covering the game even did a shout-out during Friday's game for him.
We just sat with him and told him how much we loved him and he can leave this old world and be at peace. He has been surrounded our family and loved ones all weekend long and now is at peace in the arms of Jesus. The obituary for my Uncle, Kenneth McBee, should be in the paper by Tuesday and viewings will be held at McCulla's Funeral Home in Westover, WV. Me and my family would really appreciate your thoughts and prayers during this time.
