On the Last Week or so...

Wow it's been a while since I have found time to make an update.

Warped Tour went well. I managed to see everyone of my friends from SBU that was there and we all hung out in a huge group. Ran into nearly everyone from DK as well. Somehow I didn't run in to Kyle, and I didn't even know she was there until this morning. Too bad, it would have been nice to see her.

I was in the front for the Dropkick Murphys and the Offspring, both sets were beauty. Valera made it on stage for DKM, that was cool. I started off in the middle for the Offspring and managed to get pushed all the way to the front. I thought Tanya and Logan were right behind me but it turns out that they were left behind. Their set was great, they played songs off of their older albums which was all of the stuff that I like. Thrice was beauty for the two songs they played and then a huge thunderstorm hit and stopped the show for an hour and a half. After getting soaked and freezing for awhile waiting for Avenged Sevenfold to set up, Tanya and I decided to leave. All in all it was a great day though, so I'm not complaining too much about it. It was nice to spend a day with my sister, and she had a great time. Plus seeing all of the Bona's kids was great.

Oh yeah, while we were stuck in traffic on the way home there was a van in front of us that had a SBU and a Buzz sticker on it. The girls riding in the back kept waving at us, but looked like they were still in high school. Through random methods of communication I found out that the driver of the van goes to SBU and is a sophomore. I'm clueless as to who it was. But it was pretty funny nevertheless.

The Chautauqua County Fair was this past week, and I never even went. I had two tickets and I sold them to my cousin's yesterday. I'm sure there was nothing of true interest there, and I haven't been to the fair in three years now. I'm just glad it's over. All the carnie's come in to Quality looking for cigarettes, and Dunkirk is overflowing with people from all over the county. People need to learn what "presale" means. It means before the fair starts, not in the middle of the week. We stopped selling those tickets a week ago, and people were still coming in yesterday to buy them. Notz guys.

Speaking of work, three people from the store got the big fuck you yesterday for calling in. I didn't have a 9, 10, or 11 o'clock cashier, so I ended up running register for the whole night by myself. Turns out they all went to the demolition derby...so much for being sick you assholes. What a way to be a blue falcon is all I have to say.

Rob and I went out to Walleye Willie's on Saturday and there was this excellent eight-piece band playing. Two female vocalists and the male drummer sang as well. They played a lot of fiftie's pop music but they were damn good. One of the tightest bands I've seen perform in DK. Saw Mr. Hayes there dancing with his wife so I went over to say hi. He was half in the bag, but he's such a cool guy. I miss his class.

In other good news, Jake comes home on Friday night and he'll be in town for the next few weeks, so I'll actually have a good friend around to spend some time with. I'm pretty excited about that. That's about it for now though, I'll just be working all this week. 10 days and I'll be the big 20, I'm getting fucking old man.
