Or wahtever you wanna call it. But yeah, my brother and sister-in-law did that today. And it was awesome.
Father Joe, the man who married my parents, baptized most of us kids, did my Gramma Brown's funeral (and it was a really kick-ass funeral, as weird as that is to say) lead the cermony and it was just wonerful. Haphazard, but it worked. Worked really well.
I don't think I've ever felt so much love it one place before. A nd not just between my bro and sis-in-law. Between them and the family and friends that were there. It was jsut amazing.
And it just did my heart good in terms of my own religion. One of my brothers friends is of Jewish decent and athiet to boot. His roommate from college is from India, and while I don't know his exact religion, I don't think it's Roman Catholic.
But it never once came up. Everyone welcomed everyone so warmly and without hesitation. We all joined hands for the prayers and raised hands for the blessings and it was just wonderful. I normally don't wax all poetic about this type of things, I was just so glad to be there, you know?
But yes. Very busy but VERY awesome day.
Love to you all. :)
