Back Baby... Back From the Road

Me and Jack are Back...

Yep, the beach was fantastic. Even more fantastic is getting home to my incredible girlfriend who has been very busy painting. Slightly over 24 hours back and I'm already in the fray getting ready for tonite and tomorrow's musical stints. As well as some home errands that need to be accomplished. No sigh's, or yawns here, I'm pretty gung ho. I have so much to do, I could take a moment and imagine what it must be like to be like some of my friends... specifically the ones who never stop or slow down. Seemingly need no brakes, and are always working on things. That balance between leisure and work, I find SOOOoooo difficult to obtain. I imagine it would first start with a healthy schedule, a steady sleep schedule, and deciding what old habits just don't work to make me more productive.

I guess in a way it all works the same, I'm reminded of something I heard about choosing what to eat, Someone said, "Whatever your about to eat, or do, ask yourself: Is this going to make me stronger/healthier/etc?"... I guess that is fairly simple, but I do tend to latch onto the simplest of ideas. Their is real truth and beauty in simplicity. I mean, really, if you did everything in life, every action, breath, etc. with the notion of, "is this going to make me...". I'd have to think you would have the most driven, decisive and thoughtful existance ever. How often do we simply do things because we're used to it, it's the norm, it's what others are doing, or we choose to ignore those things that aren't necessarily good for us and let them continue to effect our lives.

I wonder if any of our lives would be the same.
