Adventures in air conditioning...
Ok, so, it's now 9pm, four hours after I got off work and I'm finally home. The second new air conditioner is now installed and running. We'll see in a few days if this one can hold out. If it doesn't, I'm basically SOL because HomeDepot aparently feels that July is a good time to stop carrying A/C's. I don't know what line of thinking caused the decision that the hottest month of the year is a good time to stop carrying them. I ended up having to dive all over creation to get a replacement for the defective unit I returned because the two Home Depot's close to my house were both out of them for the year. After spending three hours getting my A/C swaped out, I decided that I needed to get something else for me. So off to wal-mart for new sunglasses. I know what you're all thinking, Wal-Mart for sunglases?? Well, I have a habbit of loosing/breaking them before long, so I don't see paying a lot for them. Alas, Wal-Mart failed me, it was truly a sad day. Not one to give up eaisly, I went all the way around the corner to the Target that I used to work at. Dear lord, I was lost in there. Aparently they've done a major remodel, increasing the sales floor by a great deal by knocking out a lot of the warehouse. So, after wandering around for a bit, I finally find the sunglasses in the middle of the lady's handbags. Success!! I now am the proud new owner of a pair of IronMan semi-soft frame sunglasses. These wrap quite close to my face, which is what I needed because the goal was to find a pair that I could wear under my motorcycle helmet. Glasses in hand, I headed home. Tomarrow, I'll be taking my bike to work. :-)
