girls from out of town........
two little crickets somehow found their way to opposite sides of my room & have held an ongoing symphony oh, for about the last 72 hours or so.... i gave up, with the exception of working hours the room is theirs... they fit into the darkened landscape when i'm oh, sitting Outside with a glass of wine under the stars but 12 inches from my ear in a little tiny room? no....
it's monday.
monday morning.
i went out saturday because my friend Sunshine was in town from Chicago & it's been a little while since I've seen her maybe a year or three & well, there's a certain look & behavior that all girls from out of town have in common.... maybe it's because this is their vacation, maybe it's 'cause they grew up here & want to prove something or... i don't know...but it seems they talk louder, wear shorter skirts, are prone to dancing, always come back tan & thin wearing a lot of makeup............& i guess i must have behaved the same way when i'd come back & no i don't have a problem with it....but it is entertaining to watch....
so anyways, i was out saturday night & was chillin'w/my cousin & even got her & her boy to go to the wine bar across the street from the haymarket & that's totally not their style at all & then my aunt & uncle came out & it was fun & i look over & there's andrew & he's like let's sit down & talk & so i'm thinking there's something big to talk about but no.... & then he's like "let's go, i'll give you a ride home" & you know what? that's all that happened. usually when someone asks me to leave the bar with them to go for a ride the ending is a bit different. so there's something else for the town to talk about 'cause no one saw me just get a ride they saw me leaving with him again & i guess when i go in tomorrow i'll have explaining to do.....
...anyways, so i woke this morning to a phonecall from Dolan Geiman (should call him back pronto) & was sitting out with the first cup of coffee & a cigarette watching the world shake off her sleepiness & thought "what was andrew trying to do?" & then "i don't really care 'cause i'm over it!" over it over him over the whole nasty business.
& that feels wonderful.
...& the news reports keep saying they can't identify the bodies in the car but everyone around here knows who it is & i'm wondering if they're saying that 'cause the dna they were going to compare from the remains & lorraine's son haven't come back yet or maybe there's still family to notify or what? how horrible & how sad
