this sorta fairytale of two cities......
....so i made myself a promise i'd contact 20 retail shops a week & i'm absolutely terrified which means i'm on the right path & so i've been sitting here doublechecking addresses & phone numbers & so many of the coolest shops in the world are in my dear sweet portland & so an hour goes by & another & another & this sadness creeps in......
i want to go home! portland, i miss you! i miss your rainy days & your ice storms & your devastatingly beautiful hipsters & your art openings & your cheap pizza joints & your used bookstores & your parks....i miss walking 8 miles home at 3 in the morning after getting into a dumb fight with a depressed boyfriend i miss being at some trashy place on christmas morning i miss your strip clubs & your gutter punks & your coffee shops....
iowa is beautiful & peaceful & there's northern lights & thunderstorms & gorgeous bluffs & fireflies & millions and billions of stars & i love my honey & i know i have alot of work to do & alot of river to canoe before i come home again but i will i promise i will don't forget about me....
