For those of you who don't know (I'm guessing maybe some oversea's folks). Australia is in a state of devistation. The bushfires of Victoria have so many upset. The deathtoll has reached 130, and they have esitmated it could be as high as 230. It has destroyed over 750 houses and burnt 330,000 hectares, wipping whole towns off of the map. 52 fires are listed as still burning throughout the state as we speak.
"Forensic experts say the burns to fire victims are worse than those suffered in the Bali bombings, and fear it will take many weeks to identify all the dead."
And you know what is disgusting? They think that some of these fires were delibritly started. I don't know how someone could do that, and live with themselves.
I'm not going to post, or link to any photo's, because they are devistating, and I find myself crying when I hear anything about this. I am a huge lover of the environment, and have grown up believing in loving the earth, flora and fauna around you. Hey, I'm a tree hugger! If that doens't give it away.
Anyway, if you are in the position to donate, please do so.
Also, another place you should consider donating would be The Victorian Wildlife Bushfire Appeal. The animals need just as much support.
