A vast majority of reviews I received for the last chapter of 'Cleared' complained that my ending was too open and that I wrapped the story up too abruptly. Although I believe that a part of this perception might be a result of a misunderstanding - the story is NOT a Romance, and HG/SS readers are used to fanfics aiming at getting those two together, it cannot be all.
Constructive criticism is the only way how a writer can improve past self-studying, and positive responses are all that a writer craves for.
I feel both hope and fear while waiting out the validation queues at TPP and Ashwinder.
Hope - for a sincere wish that the epilogue will resolve better the relationship the two characters are in in this story, and that it spells out future development that must have occurred following the last chapter given the consequences of the last Order meeting.
Fear - for the fact that the ending is STILL open. There is still future after the last word of the epilogue.
Where will you sway? What will I do next?
