The Mistake
From the moment I decided to confess to you how I felt, I knew that everything would go to hell.
I have always known that it would happen. Asami had and maybe still has a special place in your heart. That is something that I will always be jealous of.
Since you let me take a place at your side all those years ago, I knew that the chance you gave me was very special. And all these years I have treasured the place you had given me.
But sadly, it had to end eventually, like all things come to an end. I knew this very well and I thought that I had been prepared for when it would happen.
But I wasn’t.
When I saw your eyes change, the second you realized what exactly I had told you, I knew that you would never give me another chance again. Because I know you don’t really believe in second chances.
I had not only betrayed your trust but I also had misused my place beside you in your eyes. I know that no matter what I will do or tell you in the future, you will never forgive me for what I have done.
Even if what I did was only to protect you.
I have always known that the result of you finding out the truth would be disastrous. But I always had a small flicker of hope inside me of it ending differently.
I will continue to live for you, in secret, protecting you from every disaster that comes your way.
