4x07 . the good, the bad & the downright ugly.
Okay so this was my most anticipated episode of the season, I liked a lot that happened and the rest I just wish I could blank out from my mind COMPLETELY. If I thought 4x05 was a mindfuck, this definitely took the cake. I was following but somewhere in the middle they lost me. the end.. just threw me off completely. nothing about it makes sense. I'm still in shock. I can't even fully comprehend what the fuck I just saw.
I'm already quite pissed off because I always download my episodes from skinsfans every thursday. usually DL links are up 2 hours later & on good nights, right away. but tonight there STILL isn't a episode DL up.. which means I can't run and make icons or a do a picspam & I'm livid. I heard a rumor that e4 is taking legal actions against us humble fans who distribute episodes illegally all over the web. honestly?! I live in the U.S. and it's impossible for me to see skins any other way other then online. I do have BBC America on my tv but they don't even show skins EVER (I refuse to watch bleeped out television unless it's on MTV) . I search the listings all the time and they never show it. I've been to the BBC America website and they have the trailer for season 3 up. ghgkghkfg ?! nothing bugs me more then watching episodes a million years behind other countries. I'm sure the UK feels the same way about 90210, Gossip Girl.. etc. But I digress. That's why the internet has become such a magical place. I've pretty much ditched my tv all together. I watch EVERYTHING online.. so they can't do this to me =/ I NEED a HD dl NOW so I can rewatch this episode and understand what I'm watching without the distraction of a fucking shaky cam.
THE GOOD
Noami visiting Effy.

Nice to see the whole gang again , spending time together. I thought the whole exchanging of grades was cute. I don't like how Effy publicly dumped Freddie. And he's all 'well what about me blahblahblah' It's not all about you Freddie. If she needs her space she needs her space. What Effy said was true, she DID have a breakdown WHILE with him. That means something.

The dancing, made me smile like an idiot. There chemistry is just... I got more heat from that 1 minute dance scene then I did from ANY Freffy kiss, ANY freffy sex scene, ANY freffy interaction PERIOD. I'm sorry to say.

Cook loves her. He loves everything about her. He knows her better than anybody else.. better than Freddie. All their dysfunction in the past.. makes them who they are, Cook&Effy. He doesn't want to change a thing. He's matured, he's become more rational.
Yes he slapped her, AND? It wasn't a slap intended to hurt her. It was a classic 'snap out of it' slap .Typically seen in movies/tv. He would never harm his peachy . And he didn't hit her again when she was demanding that he hit her. That was Cook's first taste of 'crazy' Effy (other than 'she looks like the chick from the ring' ) I think he handled things quite well. He handled things better than Freddie would have. If Effy would have ran into the street on Freddie's time , there's no doubt in my mind that Freddie would freak out like a little bitch and run into the street to save her and end up getting smashed like a pancake instead. Just saying...
Effy says Cook is no good for her? wth! He's PERFECT for her. He calls her out on her bullshit, he keeps her out of harms way .They are two peas in a pod. A dysfunctional, beautiful pod &
He did everything right this episode. He saved her life... he pushed her out of the street, basically risking his own life.. for her. he loves her . How can nobody not see that? How can she not see that?
I had to rewatch the scene a few times, but SHE DEFINTELY kissed him. So freffies can pretty much fuck off for saying HE took advantage of her. How exactly did he take advantage of her?
He took her back to Freddie because she WANTED to go back to Freddie. Who is he to stand in her way? He let her go.. time & time again.
He keeps stepping back & letting Freddie be the hero.
I'm not saying Freddie's intentions aren't good. They are. I realize that.
I respect him for standing up to the crazy therapist.. He gets brownie points in my book.
It's just unfortunate that things had to go down the way they did.
THE BAD
I really hate the teachers/administration at the college. Wtf is wrong with them? Giving Effy all straight A's just because she's slightly mental? That's so fucked up. I mean if it were me, I'd be ECSTATIC. but still, it was sickening. Even worst, is that the therapist thought it was perfectly okay. My first indication that he was a creeper.
What the hell was he even doing to her? She went in upset and left all rejuvenated . Can somebody explain this to me? I'm still fucking confused as ever.
I loved all the Tony mention, I don't get what the car crash has to do with anything.. he didn't die. He's perfectly okay now. Is that suppose to be the moment she started 'hearing voices' because it was a traumatic thing to witness?
The Freddie/Effy sex scene. GROSS, as usual.. I mean, she JUST got out the institution.. But of course Freddie couldn't resist. And the people have the NERVE to say COOK took advantage of Effy? Please tell me there confusing Freddie & Cook.
I don't understand all the Cook hate, I really don't.
What more does he have to do to prove himself?
Cook has been Cook from day one. He hasn't pretended to be somebody he's not.
The one minute Cook makes a bad decision everybody turns their back on him.
But Freddie can do no wrong?

It just sucks that it took Freddie getting beat to death for me to feel some kind of emotion towards him. I wish he was a character I could like naturally. But I don't. My opinion on him remains the same.. I want to like him, I really do. I just don't. There's nothing there.
Who knows if Freddie is really dead or not. I guess we'll find out. I do think all that blood was over kill, I'll actually be more surprised than anyone if he's still alive...
However, I hope he's not dead. I just don't want the finale to revolve around the search for Freddie.. because HELLO there's other characters that I care about and want to know what the fuck is going to happen with them.
I remember joking about Freddie getting killed off, I never even thought this was an actual possibility .I'm mind boggled. This is the last thing I want. He may be my least favorite character but he doesn't deserve to die. I don't want ANYBODY to die.
