We traveled over 500 miles this past holiday weekend. Spread over 4 days. Back and forth to the city for turkey, weddings, birthday parties, and Marshall sleep overs. His folks couldn't be happier. They make runny eggs (yuck) and awesome french toast. His dad likes to stir the coffee before he serves it.
K and Mrs. Marshall slept in the same room, separate twin beds, the evening of Thanks. In the morning they chatted it up and I cracked up. My boy can talk.
Last Monday dumped eight inches on us. School was canceled. J canceled work. We played and stayed warm around the fire and marveled how the leaves have yet to fall from the tress!
I hate fourteen hour work days. Let me say it again.
I'm feeling love from all around, and maybe it's just cuz I'm in love with everything. The weird weather, and the creepy kid, and the non-pc man, and the kooky true friends, which make up the gist of it all, which seems to form the pieces of the entire puzzle. There's so much love going on, and tons of boring goodness, and rad homemade turkey soup with lemon pepper and thyme. There are serious head colds and dirty houses and too much work and a bellies full of laughter and an unorthodox life and I don't know, but we're livin'. Hard.
Gotta love it.
