SO Merry Christmas to all. Steve and I had a wonderful Christmas with my family and left in the wee hours of the morn the night of the 25th and drove through the night and five states to get to Chicago. We were on our way to Steves sister Debbies house (about a 10 min drive from it) and some girl had stopped her van dead still in the middle of the road because of a deer that was trying to jump a fence but got caught and the guy behind her stopped dead still and Steve tried to stop but our brakes locked up and we hit the guy, both air bags went off there's NO front left to his car... i have a bruise on my right leg and my neck feels like i went on an all night head banging binge. but nothing is broken and nothing is bleeding and everything will feel just fine in a week. Steves insurance is amazing and is giving us a rental car. His aunt Bonnie and unkle John are awesome and have two gorgeous girls they have been so good to us. his sister is very nice but has some enormous dogs that think i'm a good place to sit...

other than the wreck things have been good and i'm not going to let it spoil my trip.

it was however very scary. my first reaction was to say OW! and then to find my phone to call my mom, then to wonder how we were going to get home, then to freak out about my leg that was swollen and hurty and looked like i may develp those nasty veins that look like worms crawling in your legs... it's silly the things you worry about... but all in all everything is as fine as it can be. i am however a little car shy... as in, i dont' really want to drive and i tend to clench steves hand if we're any less than two car lengths away from the car in front of us. he did a great job as far as everything goes... there was no way to avoid it after the brakes locked up. the only thing i would change if i could is that it didn't happen... but it had to aparently and i'm glad he was driving and knew what to do.

love to all i'll update later if i can. hope your holiday went well.
