It's been 10 years since Mema died. I just can't believe it still, she was only 49 years old- she has missed the birth of 5 grandchildren, all great grandchildren and our graduations, weddings, etc. Every year we go to the cemetery on her birthday and death date- we have a picnic of Lee's famous chicken and we sit on a blanket usually reminising and singing :) every christmas we go and put up a little tree with cardinals and popcorn and such and we make snow angels on her grave and we sing her version of "Grandma got ran over by a reindeer". Today I bought something that has always reminded me of Mema- she always had combos and warm flat pop, I'll be eating that at the cemetary today remembering her.
I miss you Mema.
