Hello, people. I'm worried about this whole separation of me and fandom/LJ. I'm not sure what to do about it. But hey, for now, a few pictures from Wisconsin! Slightly dated by this point, as I've been back since...August 23rd...but I've been trying to get them sorted out for awhile.
Also, these were supposed to be in order, but LJ is a pain. You guys are smart, you'll figure it out!
Scenic view
This is the view from our cozy little beachfront cabin. Okay, so the cabin got extremely cold some nights, and the beach was about one square foot in size. Pretty, isn't it?
Chipmunk!
Upper Wisconsin is chipmunk territory, and they were EVERYWHERE. I couldn't really blame them for scolding when I was sleeping on the ground under their trees. Or when they used me as a handy shortcut to get to said trees.
The friendly prank.
The boys in the cabin next door to us stole our mattresses. Yep. So I hardly think filling their cabin floor with dixie cups full of water was that nasty as payback.
The bog.
There was a challenge course at this camp. Composed of several quirky concepts--like the one pictured--designed to build trust or team work, or something. This one was 3 platforms centered over a mud pit. We were given 2 boards (neither of which were long enough to reach all the way) and told to get every member of our team to each without touching the ground. Some of us got messy.
The door
This is what we put on the door of their cabin. The sign, if you can't read it, says "thirsty?" and that's a straw.
My cabin!
I lived with 10 girls for 10 days. We started as strangers and when we left, we were all bonded and stuff...except they were mostly freshmen and I barely see them on campus.
Cozy nook!
This is a bench behind our cabin. It overlooks the lake view above. Nice quiet place.
Pretty lake.
So, this is where I was when I went to camp.
