I am posting from my awesome new laptop. And! I'm not plugged in! I am all wireless and stuff! Dude, happy birthday to me!

I'm also watching this week's 2 hour Grey's Anatomy. I have a serious problem with the way they're handling Cristina's wedding phobia. What the hell's supposed to be wrong with a woman who is willing to commit because she ( Read more... )

Cristina agreed to marry Burke and meant it, but she made it very clear she didn't want to be steamrolled by the whole wedding process and he just keeps pushing her further and further into it. It's like he's actually trying to break her. Kinda freaks me out to watch, dude, to be honest, because wedding planning makes me tense up like whoa.

Makes me scared, too, because if he's pushing her this much during the wedding, what's their marriage gonna be like? Have they even talked about ever having children, post-Christina's miscarriage?

It's all so rushed. And I think that's one of my biggest problems with Grey's this season. The clinic? Built in a week. Ridiculous. George and Callie? So quick it's ridiculous. George's mom never being seen after his dad dying? Susan? Ellis? Everything??? It's stretching almost as badly as 24. It's like there's no continuity; one week Derek says he'll always come back to Meredith, the next he's walking away. It's all uneven and very moment to moment.

you find the men of Grey's to be sorely lacking lately...but I'm suspecting more and more that Grey's is surprisingly sexist. I agree, wholeheartedly. I was disturbed with the way Addie talked about having a kid, as if it would fix her life -- a brand new accessory or something. And then to make it that she's barren (post-having an abortion), makes it seem like some weird karmic payback, which I hate. Addie being pregnant and moving to LA would have been interesting, in my opinion, because the last thing I want to see is another group of doctors, gossiping about how much sex they are/aren't having. Especially ones that are so much older.

I wish this show would be fun again, and about the competitiveness of surgery, and the interns as a family. I love that. I love them fighting for cases, and figuring out how to be doctors, and not just gazing at each other longingly. I was never a big fan of the second season long love triangle, but even it was better than the mess that is this season. I'm finding it hard to like anyone but Christina and Meredith, who I want to leave Seattle Grace and go on a road trip... and Bailey and Alex could join.
