Since the Fall season is winding down and I am, yet again, promising myself I will give up the shows that hold minimal interest for me now (only to, often, pick them back up "for one more chance" by the time the fall rolls around and I miss my nice full schedule)...
Time to talk preliminary talk about next season's TV!
Thank you, CW, for announcing you saved the good shows to celebrate the end of the school year. Heh. Okay, so we already knew Veronica Mars was safe. And as expected, paired with Gilmore Girls. Smallville was a shoo-in, and I figure it pretty much sheltered Supernatural because they're good together. I'm still completely "wuh?" over 7th Heaven, but whatever. The one new show that sounds somewhat interesting is Runaway. Hm.
In the meantime, just when Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip starts to sound curious (Amanda Peet and Sarah Paulson reunited! Matthew Perry and Brad Whitford as comic/writing buddies!), I find out it's apparently going to be up against Grey's Anatomy next season. Pfft. Whatever.
I might have to keep an eye out for Vanished (will Gale Harold *actually* manage to keep his pants on as a detective? p.s.
scroll for pictures here) and Primary (Gina Torres) on FOX, also. Or at least watch the pilot episode. Elsewhere, Betty Ugly sounds amusingly original, but sometimes that's not a good thing.
So, anyway, I think all my shows were renewed. VM, BSG, GA, 24... Smallville, House, Lost, Supernatural, Bones... Yeys!
