But seriously...I love when 24 uses atonement/redemption themes. Though my words for Samwise last week still hold DOUBLE. Hee!
EW put a nice primer on Doctor Who, which premieres March 17th, in this week's issue. I'm beginning to look forward to it. I hope other Americans will watch, too, because I at least want it to stay on long enough to get some David Tennant eps. Figure out what all the fuss is *really* about.
Harsh words from Annie Proulx: It was a safe pick of "controversial film" for the heffalumps. *amused* I don't really know why people put any stock in Academy Awards, anyway.
So, can anybody rec me a book or something on Vichy France? I figure if Ron Moore's going to compare BSG season 3 to it, I better read up. Historical fiction or nonfiction; if anybody has a better idea where to start than I do, I'd appreciate any pointers. About the only exposure I've had to material on Vichy France at all recently is, um, Charlotte Gray, and even that was only the movie. Heh.
