Fandom wise I’ve been possessed by Marvel.

I can’t wait for Avengers to be available already. I stalk the sites for pictures and interviews ~blush~ I don’t know why it hit me so hard. Maybe because javiera has been shoving Marvel down my throat urging me to update my know-how for a couple of years,  with House of M, Civil War ~sobs~ and Young Avengers. Since now it’s easier somewhat.

I deeply enjoyed Thor and Captain America, I found both movies superb: fun and well narrated. Though it took my mother to point out that Thor was George Kirk. Damn. I knew that guy was god’s gift to fans back then when I watched Star Trek 2009.

Well, Chris Hemsworth has the laughter, that’s more than half the character.

I also love Thror Soundtrack, I admit I have a thing for Patrick Doyle (his OST of Harry Potter is the only one I like) the other day I was randomly listening to my Loki playlist (It rocks) And there was this sad little melody I was “what‘s this, so pretty”… It was “Letting Go“ I died.

I guess the movie did his job in presenting Thor’s point of view and set us up for a world of hurt with Avengers. Because we undestand Loki's hurt and his way to madness. We now get why it’s so difficult for Thor to fight his brother. All new Loki’s Fans: we are in for it now.

Moreover, reading a Bio of Thor I realized somewhere in the past I read those first comics. I knew Donal Blake, I knew he had a bad leg and I knew there was some confusion because he thought he was human, only he had amnesia from being exiled. Granpa, uncles: you are suspect of facilitating this girl with highly addictive material. I was like ten! Evil people.

But.

I’m in love with Ironman.  ♥_________♥

Since I watched the animation, ending after a series of screw ups by Tony, only it was Jarvis impersonating him because Tony was frozen for health reasons. Left me in a cliffhanger, damn them all. Shakes fist

I love his humanity. That he is basically trying to mend his mistakes.

He believes, he tries, he takes the scorn and the hits. He is not a bad guy, he is not trying to hurt others (unless he IS being MEAN) He just makes mistakes, real, honest, human mistakes. Which, can be monumental because Tony is never one for half hearted attempts (fan, remember?)

My beloved idiot genius .

And I really loved the movies, even though people tell me they weren’t that good ~shrugs~ I had a lot of fun and re-watch them regularly. Guess fanatism shines through. It adds to the recipe that I love Robert Downey Jr:  when I heard he was going to be Tony Stark I was all “Oh! It’s him! He so totally is!”

Also, Iwas really glad they gave him the opportunity of shining again and overcome his troubles.

Yes, me and the bad boys again.

What I liked the most both in Iron Man and Captain America was the homage to the original comics (see Iron man first armor for references) and the fact that Captain America was born as an incentive for men to enlist during WWII (which javierapointed out to me, what I knew about Cap before was that he existed)

Also in Captain they captured really well the atmosphere of the time, the dancers etc. Like a serious movie about the war I guess all this batch of Marvel movies have that in common. They take themselves seriously.

I mean good god, that’s Anthony Hopkins as Odin! That’s just epic.

So now I’m in agony~~  Waitiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing. Calendar! Be May already!

Note to Self: Stop blaming javiera, I was weird long before we met.
