So saw a trailer for Phantom during an OC commercial tonight?
WTF.
Honestly, WTF.
They make it seem like it's a love story between Christine and her PRINCE OF FAIR FACE AND SERIOUSLYNEEDINGATRIM!HAIR, who must THWART the efforts of TEH EBIL PHANTOM who, in a MAGICAL feat of duality, both SEEKS TO DESTROY THEIR TWOO LOFF AND appears for approximately .00004 SECONDS during the WHOLE MOVIE, never mind that he's the TITLE CHARACTER and sings more songs that ANYONE ELSE. And they're distilling the story down to its most easily digestible elements for the most stupid people in Bumfuck, Nowhere to gain MORE TICKET SALES, and completely RUINING AUDIENCES, who will go in expecting a Christine/Raoul ending, which they'll GET ... but that is NOT the story. WOE.
In summation, Raoul is aloser.
And the OC is amazing. (Since when can Sandy SING OMG SETH <3333 Ryan and Marissa next week EEEK was JUST hoping they'd restart the UST on that front Lindsey's "I chose you" speech was loffly Alex is still GORGEOUS and apparently bisexual woopah snaps for liberal television shows Summer and Zach are SO crashed and burned I can smell the smoking gasoline from the train wreck that is their relationship Julie's new hair color is tops did anyone else catch a hint of Alex/Sandy in their exchanges alllrighty have been devoting too much thought to Oedipal complexes in other genres and am apparently spilling over.)
