No seriously, this came out of nowhere. I'm be-bopping along feeling like an asshole, and there's suddenly an envelope in my box about getting a chunk of money (which is great because I'm stinking broke-ass-broke). The Graduate Studies Committee thinks I'm the second-year MA with the most outstanding first-year record in my class. I guess I have the highest GPA? Because otherwise I'm mystified. I really, really don't feel like the smart kid around here.
Suddenly, Friday's pretty neat. I'm going to take fifty dollars of it and act like a glutton somewhere that passes for nice (because Auburn doesn't do "nice"). Of course, I have to take two hundred of it to pay Mom back for the overdraft-fees-plus-groceries cash that saved my ass this month.
