Baekhyun lounged back into the couch with a loud groan,though it came out more like a whine,he sighed and grabbed the remote for the television. Turning it on he flipped to the local weather channel. He sighed as the reporter said Seoul was going through a heatwave.
'Of course' Baekhyun thought bitterly. All the other boys were out of the house,going swimming,shopping and what not,but he decided to stay home in the cool.
And it was just his luck the air conditioner decided it wanted to break. So here he was in a stuffy dorm,with only shorts, tank top and a fan to keep him cool. He ran a hand through his hair,wincing as he noticed he hair was now damp with sweat.
"Ugh!" Now he felt dirty and grimy. He sighed for the hundredth time and stood up. "I'll just take a cold shower.' He mumbled. And walked to his room to get him a towel.
Tao was the first to arrive home,when he opened the door he couldn't help but notice how it felt just like outside,wasn't Baekhyun home though? "Baekhyun hyung?" Tao called out as he slipped his shoes off,he was holding a bag he brought simply for Baekhyun.
"Baekhyun hyu-" He called but was quickly cut off when he saw Baekhyun walk out in nothing but a towel with wet hair. And Baekhyun noticed him too,they stared at each other awkwardly for a moment before Baekhyun mumbled a 'let me get dressed' first and hurriedly took off down the hallway.
Tao slowly walked to the kitchen and tried to ignore the blush of red on his ears. He pulled out a container holding Baekhyun some lunch and another box for reach he put into the freezer.
"Tao?" Tao turned and noticed Baekhyun was now dressed thankfully,but in a light grey wifebeater and black basketball shorts. "Oh hyung! I brought you some lunch back!" Tao said trying to ignore his burning ears and pray that Baekhyun didn't spot the redness.
Baekhyun smiled at him and gave him a hug in thanks,Tao just nodded mutely,not sure why he was acting like an awkward high school kid with a crush on the popular kid. Baekhyun pulled a bottle of water and opened the container that was filled with various foods from a buffet and smiled once more at Tao in thanks before digging in.
Tao just watched him for a few minutes as a thought came to his mind. "Hyung,why is the air conditioning off?" Baekhyun looked up startled,whenever they were alone,he was usually the one that had to start the conversation,he suspected that Tao was still unused to him since he and Jongdae entered the group last,but unlike Jongdae he wasn't in the M subgroup.
So Baekhyun and Tao rarely got to spend time alone together and when they did it was usually an atmosphere of awkward silences. So he was surprised that Tao had taken the courage to speak out first.
"Oh,the air conditioner is broke,must've broke sometime around 10 this morning. I called manager hyun and he said somebody would be over to fix it around 3pm. But the others won't be home until 5pm. So I'll have to stay home to let the repair man in."
Tao nodded,he looked at Baekhyun who had resumed eating and followed Baekhyun's hands,to his arms and down. Tao shook his head. He wasn't trying to be perverted,but he really couldn't help but notice how feminine Baekhyun's figure was. It wasn't like he had the body of a woman of course. It's just he body was delicate looking.
His hands were very model like,his arms was pale and smooth,his wasn't muscular,not like Tao himself was,he was shorter than Tao,and he was very good at wearing make-up. And it wasn't just because the older boy basically was the king of guyliner.
No,it was because Tao had stumbled upon Baekhyun's cross-dressing picture on the internet,he hadn't told the boy. It'd probably just embarrass him,but he could admit. Baekhyun was very pretty for a boy.
Luhan was pretty,so was Chanyeol in his own right. Kyungsoo too. Actually most his members were very pretty but unlike Baekhyun they all had an air of manliness about them.
Luhan was surprisingly very manly,he loved sports,if you looked harder at him,you could tell he was his actual age and the was lazy and Minseok or Sehun usually had to drag him from his bed. Chanyeol is pretty as well.
Maybe not small and feminine looking like Baekhyun or Luhan. But he was what one would consider a pretty boy,and he was boyish and acted like a comedian most of the time,and unlike Baekhyun,Chanyeol had muscles,they weren't as prominent as Tao's but still very visible if you looked close enough and his voice sure wasn't feminine,heck he had the deepest voice in all of EXO.
Though the reason Chanyeol was so pretty was because he had a feminine face,when he wasn't laughing like an idiot. And next to Kris. His duizhang,Chanyeol seemed to always be feminine,he wasn't sure what is was about Kris that made the other members in EXO look so darn girly. But whenever he noticed Chanyeol and Kris together,he couldn't help but think Kris was the boyfriend and Chanyeol was the girl.
Tao was still rambling on in his thoughts when Baekhyun looked up to see what his silent companion was doing. "Tao?" Tao's eyes were glazed over as if in deep thought.
"Tao!" Tao jumped and looked at him before turning red slightly,Baekhyun chuckled. "Oh yeah?" Baekhyun laughed at his confused expression,it was cute. Baekhyun cleared his throat before speaking. "What were you thinking about?" Tao looked away with a blush.
"Uhh...just remembering how feminine Chanyeol hyung looked when he stood next to Kris hyung" Baekhyun stared for a moment then burst out laughing.
"That's true,then again we all have that member we stand next to and look feminine.
When I stand next to you,Kris hyung or Chanyeol I'm the girly one. When Kyungsoo stands next to Jongin or Joonmyeon hyun,he's the girl one."
Tao nodded,it was true though. Even when he himself stood next to Kris,he looked like the girl of the pair. "The only one that doesn't really look feminine next to someone is Kris hyung." Tao mused and Baekhyun snorted before agreeing.
They talked a bit more about random things,the guys,schedules,home life,music before they both were on the couch and groaning at the heat. It was only 1pm and still had two more hours before the repairman came.
"It's so hot,I wish I had an ice cream." Baekhyun mumbled,Tao jumped up. "Oh I forgot!" Baekhyun raised an eyebrow as he watched Tao run into the kitchen like a kid.
Tao came back smiling with two hands behind his back. "Pick one!" Baekhyun stared at the two tan arms holding something behind the younger boy's back,he mused Tao had very handsome arms,before mentally shaking his head and pointing at the right arm.
Tao smiled. "You got grape!" Baekhyun smiled and sat up before taking the grape popsicle into his hands with a thanks. Tao smiled back and sat back down with his own cherry flavored popsicle.
They sat in silence for a minute,just enjoying the popsicles and Tao spoke up startling Baekhyun. "Did you know we're beef." Baekhyun raised an eyebrow. "What?" Tao laughed as did Baekhyun. "Beef,we're beef....we're both Taurus,remember the interview...the beef brothers."
Baekhyun burst out laughing. "You have strange thoughts Tao." Tao just grinned. And took a lick of the popsicle,Baekhyun who had been staring trailed his eyes down and gulped .looking away in embarrassment.
Was he really just gawking at Tao licking that treat just now? Not good,not good. While Baekhyun was having an inner panic attack,Tao was thinking of Baekhyun's beauty again,he had noticed the boy really was attractive.
As they were both having inner conflict over the other,they both risked a glance at one another,Tao froze,his eyes traveled up Baekhyun's face. Baekhyun felt nervous at the way Tao was looking at him. If Kai was home he'd be teasing them about the sexual tension radiating in the room. Forever the pervert the second maknae was.
"Is it me or the atmosphere really...strange?" Tao mumbled lightly. Baekhyun was aware but said nothing,they hadn't even noticed they were inching closer to one another on the couch ,Baekhyun noticed he could smell the cherry from Tao's mouth,they weren't aware not even a little at the growing closeness, until their lips collided together. Tao could taste the grape from Baekhyun's popsicle on Baekhyun's lips.
Tao's hand traveled to Baekhyun's neck,his fingers carressing the back of the older boy's neck,his finger tips playing with the tips of Baekhyun's hair. Baekhyun's abandoned popsicle now lay melting on the floor. Tao's was also thrown down,both would later thank the stars that they had hardwood with a protective coating that didn't stain.
Baekhyun's hands now traveling on Tao's chest,his long slender fingers resting lightly on Tao's collarbone. The doorbell suddenly rang,startling them out of the makeout session,Baekhyun turned red when he noticed somewhere in the midst of the makeout,he had straddled Tao's lap. He backed away and off of Tao awkwardly. "It must be the repairman." Baekhyun spoke slowly.
Tao nodded mutely. Baekhyun was about to answer the door when Tao grabbed his wrist. Baekhyun glanced down at the wrist,then he noticed Tao's scared confusion of what just happened,he smiled comfortingly. "We'll talk it out after the repairman leaves okay?"
Tao breathed a sigh of relief and nodded,letting Baekhyun go. Baekhyun answered and let the repairman in. As the man silently worked on the air conditioner,Baekhyun and Tao sat silently on the couch watching the man do his work.
"That's it,just a stripped wire,I've replaced it so the air should work now,just make sure to keep the wires clean,dust can get in the system ,but turning off the ac then cleaning the wires with a duster should be fine." Baekhyun nodded and shook the man's hand. "Thank you sir." The man shrugged. "It's fine,the bill is being sent to SME right?" Baekhyun nodded.
After seeing the man out Baekhyun sighed and glanced back at Tao who was sitting on the couch looking at his own hands. "Tao." Tao looked up and montioned for Baekhyun to sit down, a few minutes of awkward silence was all that was happening. Baekhyun decided to speak first. "What are we Tao?" Tao looked startled.
"I'm not sure..." Was Tao's honest answer. Baekhyun nodded and grasped Tao's hand placing it in his lap. "...Tao..I..I don't want to freak you out,just tell me no,if you don't like it. But maybe we should give this thing a try." Tao raised an eyebrow. "Thing?"
Baekhyun let out a shaky breath,looking away for a moment,then back at Tao. "I think there is something here...don't you? I mean people don't just make out randomly if there wasn't a mutual attraction..." Tao was silent and Baekhyun was about to pull away,when suddenly Tao's hand gripped his own. "Maybe.." Baekhyun gasped as Tao pulled him into his lap.
He stared at Baekhyun's startled face for a moment before placing his fingers beneath Baekhyun's chin and pulling his hea dup to give him a small peck on the lips. "Maybe,maybe we should. Will you go out with me and give the ..this attraction a try?" Tao spoke,he didn't know why he felt so confident,maybe it was because he knew he had always been in awe of Baekhyun.
And this must've been why.
He was attracted to him and if the older was willing to give it a try,this potential relationship,Tao would take it. Baekhyun looked at him for a long minute in shock but finally nodded and broke into a smile. "How will we tell the others though?" Tao snorted.
"Do you think they'd care? I bet half of them is dating one another.." Tao mused as Baekhyun chuckled. "Let's go to your room and watch a movie." Tao suggested,Baekhyun nodded,grabbing Tao's hand and pulling him up.
As the laid on the floor in Baekhyun's room,their backs propped against Baekhyun's bed,Baekhyun's head resting on Tao's shoulder,they heard Chanyeol's voice.
"Hyung,why is there melted popsicles on the floor?" They could hear Kris snort. "I don't know,let's clean it up." They heard Chanyeol groan and giggled quietly. "But we didn't make the mess!" They heard nothing for a moment and then. "If you want to go on another date before our schedules on Friday,you'll help me clean this up." At the words date they heard Chanyeol's thundering footsteps dahs into the living room.
They chuckled. So Krisyeol was real eh?
Baekhyun looked up at Tao when he felt the taller boy chuckling quietly,Tao looked down and smiled before bringing Baekhyun's lips to his own. Just then they heard Chanyeol cry out.
"Eeewwww I touched it with my fingers!"
