Kick a hipster for a dollar

I am officially a volunteer for PopMontreal, zee best music festival in Madame Monty.

So many awesome bands are playing (like, Coco Rosie, Saul Williams, Beck, Interpol, and...Foxy Brown, lol), and many more which I have never heard, which will hopefully improve my indie / hipster potential.

I signed up to be a stage assistant, I've always dreamt to do that. Plug in microphones, etc. I asked if I was too small for the job, they said yeah, you are, but you can try anyway, as long as there are no stairs at the venue (ever carried a flighcase? a 5-feet speaker?).

Oh my, am I deck.

AND today I joined Queer McGill, first meeting is tomorrow, I'm excited. Or scared. Nah not scared. Hmph. It's like I'm already a member anyway, my Sexual Diversity class is full o' dem gayz n' dykes. (hurrah for vocabulary)
Today that dude said in class (obviously, 70% lesbians, 10% gay, 10 % straight, 10%...pomosexual): that he thought even though tons of articles and people claim the opposite, many gender limits and tastes (like, most girls really do naturally like Barbies, and most boys really do naturally wanna play army) are HARDWIRED. Genetics, or something.
I felt hurt. This took me back to painful childhood memories, of being pointed at, debated, cast out, labelled as not normal, not a 'real' girl, etc.
You should have seen the reactions in class. Riot.
