Life is about learning to let go.

So I just accidentally deleted about 2,000 photos from my desktop.

The good news? Probably 1,500 of them were backed up on disc.

The bad news (besides the fact that, therefore, about 500 were not)? There's no real way of telling which ones got flushed. (Also no way of recovering them, unless I drop a few hundred bucks on some new software ... which needless to say is not going to happen at the moment.)

So. First of all: blazingnoodles, I don't need to be told about the superiority and usefulness of actual paper photos, that point has been made abundantly clear just now.

Second of all: if anyone has performance / backstage shots of Yours Nastily from the past ... hmm ... few months, let's say, maybe since March or so - would you point me at them?

And third of all, I think I'm just going to have to accept that I'll never get most of them back. Sniffle sob. If only a side effect of this were a little more space in my house, at least that would be something. But alas, all it leaves is a gaping cyber-hole on my desktop. Sniffle sob indeed.
