Here is my favorite scene from Singing in the Rain, featuring Gene Kelly and the outrageously underrated Donald O'Connor (watch it, it's awesome and hilarious). Well, it's my favorite one aside from the part where he's, erm, singing in the rain.
(Also, atheneglaukopis, you will probably derive some amusement from the fact that, when I was a kid and took my tap dancing lessons very seriously, I managed to make tap dancing all about Team Fred Astaire vs. Team Gene Kelly. I was on Team Fred Astaire, and was *highly* offended when anyone said they preferred Gene Kelly, "Pfff, you obviously don't know the first thing about tap dancing." Though secretly I really admired Gene Kelly. And nowadays I think Donald O'Connor was at least just as good as the other two. :-P)
