Torchwood 2x05 and 2x06

Wow. I can safely say... that the two Torchwood episodes tonight were the best episodes of the series I have seen so far. I didn't watch all of series 1, because quite honestly, I thought it was mostly a load of rubbish. I wanted to see series 2 because Martha is in it, and because... well, it's pathetic, but every little mention of the Doctor in Torchwood makes me grin. So yes. But series 2, again, started with a rather weak episode, in my opinion. Then it got better. And better.

And tonight - I'm very impressed. 'Adam' gets a 9/10 from me. It was seriously well done and beautifully acted and directed. Only the end bothered me a bit. Still, no other Torchwood episode even comes close to the high-quality science fiction drama that this was. 'Reset' I did not like so much, although I enjoyed Martha's presence. Well, didn't like it much until the end, that is. Owen's death? I don't read spoilers. It took me completely by surprise and is a great development for the show, I think, because the dynamics of the team were getting a bit stale.

This is the first time Torchwood has really emotionally gripped me and entertained me. Congrats to the makers, well done.
