Spamming the flist with another sketch.
The idea for this one was born from a comment I left yesterday to fools_trifle where I described the current state of my desk.
Today's sketch is just a very small part of the clutter! She's a Senegalese fertility goddess I was given looong ago and that I dug out of her hiding this year - I love my little pretty goddess-that-doesn't work and seeing her on my desk reminds me to take all of this lightly. Well, as light as I can anyway :)
And so that you know what was really on my desk yesterday, here's a photo and a little list. Not that a lot has changed today, mind you! I merely displace piles of things to access the scanner.
I remember posting nearly the same photo a few years ago...
And here's yesterday's list with a few comments from tonight
a tablet, keyboard, scanner, monitor, speakers and mouse,

Three different sketchbooks (large, regular with spiral spine, watercolour)

Including a 4-DVD set of an obscure 1958 TV show featuring Charles Bronson as a photographer (enjoyable show, by the way)

One of scowling_hermit's pouches with one of her necklaces inside (the other is around my neck!)

two (used?) batteries. No, three! I found another one today

an empty water bottle. Not any more! I put it in the recycle bin today, yay me.
spider webs. Not so many now, the cat had a go at my pet spiders :(

a cat (not tonight, she's outside I think)
By the way, notice how the cat knows very well she must not step or lie on the keyboard, but is slowly inching her tail on it nonetheless. When she really wants my attention, she paws at the upper keys while affecting to look elsewhere. Then it opens 45687 firefox windows and plays music and I freak out.
And probably many other things that are hidden under other things!
