Various stages of my current WIP. Remember this Robin Hobb illustration sketch I did? Here's how it's been evolving lately. Still need to make the pic work with a true background, and then I'll be painting the woman :D

more leaves! Though not enough yet :)
Concrit very welcome. Anything that bothers you, please tell! Right now, I'm hoping I'll come up with a nice enough forest background, and that I'll be able to make the woman stand out enough. I'll probably use more contrasted hightlights than in the whole pic, and more blueish and brownish tones, without much green. She's supposed to have a speckled face, with dark and light parts... It will be tricky!
Also, in the book, the tree is supposed to have big red flowers. What do you think? Could it work?
