Bleach and Subtext

You've got to love this about Manga. They don't even have to try with the subtext.

Um.

---

Quincy Archer hates the Shinigami, Soul Slayers who killed without pity and held no pity for those who meddled in affairs not of their concern, even if those concerns held the weight and worry of the world as their conviction.

The Shinigami were all about personal agendas and covert operations.

Kurosaki Ichigo was a Shinigami once over and Ishida Uryuu, last of the respected Quincy Archers hated him with all the malice of unfulfilled promises for revenge and one dead grandfather.

So, when he spied aggresive red spikes of hair from the top of the wooden fence, the sound of his heart steady as the beat of an angry drum drowned out the rush of blood in his ears.

If Ishida's fingers slid from the sweat in the white leather gloves, it was the righteous perspiration of undiluted spite towards one self-absorbed shinigami.

From the corner of his eye, Ichigo turned around and stared.

Ishida's eyes glittered in response. This shinigami was going to die a very slow and painful death.

(rigth to left, you know the drill but subtext, hey! You can read it like a palindrome :D)

:D

Much later, after the hassle of saving Kuchiki Rukia was over, they went home (to Ishida's because both agreed having Ichigo's father watching would be a very bad idea indeeed) and had lots and lots of sex.

Don't tell me you didn't see that coming.
