They probably have to ask the other student for permission to put you in touch with them, but it can be done.

We always did that at Bennington. If you needed a ride somewhere, you put your info up on the ride board. Student life helped connect people as well.

And even if they can't hook you up with a ride from south Florida, they can certainly arrange a ride from the bus station.

Megabus from Orlando to Nashville is currently under $40 around the time you're looking at, but if you go that way, make sure your transfer in Atlanta is during the day.
