arthur miller is dead at age 89. i'm kind of bummed. he was one of the few established figures in entertainment willing to stand up to old joe mccarthy. this was in the days before it was cool & hip to flip the bird to the government... before sean penn & micheal moore... the photo of miller that i remember most is not one of him from a gap ad, of all things. i remember thinking how care-free he looked. in all of his photos he always appeared content. anyway, it sucks. the stage has lost its loudest voice for justice.
