End of the Slump

I think I am finally coming out of a creativity slump. I drew a few things over the last few weeks, but didn't feel like posting anything until recently. I had a lot things that I was wanting to draw, but nothing seemed to work out on paper. The designs wouldn't come out right, or I just couldn't draw. Even my writing was suffering. I started work on Random Bits 18 immediately after finishing the FFXII ver of Random Bits, but I just wasn't getting anywhere with it. The characters just seemed to stand around and stare at me...waiting.
I was also at home all day, every day doing nothing, not that taking care of my grandma counts as nothing! I usually do my best work when I'm out of the house. While waiting for my sister at school, I could crank out several drawings that only needed to be cleaned up a little before they were ready to go. I had chibis, cute food, dragons, mythological japanese creatures, and more coming out of my ears, which was not a pretty sight and down right painful. You try passing a dragon out of your ear! But then it all suddenly dried up, like last night's lasagna left in the pan.

Now that I spend a good portion of the day at work (thanks to my new job), I get a much needed rest from staring at a blank piece of paper while trying to will the creativity out. I had been out of work since August due to budget cuts (after 12 yrs at the same job). Now I have quite a few projects that have come to mind and I'm even working on my very first Art Trade! I am doing an Avatar related piece for Avatarone3 and I have finally been inspired to finish my new Deviant ID, which I have been working on for several months. Yeah, it was months ago that I decided to make a new one. I have picked up work on Random Bits 18 again and I will also be working on a couple of Valentine's Day designs for my Zazzle store.
