Please allow me to paste an entry from CNN.com here to illustrate how irresponsible some people can be when applying their vote to something as crucially important as our Congress....
From CNN.com- After a sweeping Democratic takeover of the House of Representatives in Tuesday's midterm election, and with control of the Senate hanging in the balance, exit polls indicated views of President Bush and the war in Iraq were key to the outcome.
According to CNN senior political analyst Bill Schneider, voters were angry and wanted change -- and the old adage that all politics is local did not apply this year.
Schneider said as he interviewed voters across the country, "a lot of voters said, 'I'm going to vote Democratic.' They didn't even know the name of the Democrat, but they said, 'I'm going to vote Democratic because I don't like Bush, I don't like the war, I want to make a statement.'"
Ok, so what we can glean from this is, "I will vote a purple spiked vibrator into office, because I don't like Bush or the war. I didn't really care to get off of my lazy ass to at least make an effort to become informed on the other parties issues and values. I am just so full of hatred towards George, that I am willing to put "whomever" in and let the chips fall where they may.
You have got to be fucking me here....... I am not upset that there is change in the House. I don't resist it, even as a registered Republican. I vote issue by issue. But I AT LEAST do some homework on the opponents.
