Sometimes I think live journal is a lost cause (evidenced by my lack of posting recently)...
but then I always come back to it.
Anyway, here's whats been happening.
School
I am so busy right now, but in a good way. Class-wise, I constantly have work to do, and on top of that, I've gotten really involved in Phi Sigma Pi. But the goo thing about that is its forcing me to plan a work schedule every week. It works. I give myself breaks and stuff, nights-off, but I also realize that there might be times I have to do work on Fridays and (yes), some Saturdays. Its not all bad though. There is not a teacher that I dislike this semester. Actually, 3 out of 4 of my professors I really like. I'm getting really into Phi Sig. I'm meeting a lot of people outside my normal loop of friends. Which is a good thing. I'm head of the Public Relations committee. Its very interesting, I have some power, and i feel like I'm making some kind of impact.
Allison and Ashley are the neighbors, they come over a lot. They are great company.
No Niffers night this semester.
Music
Good albums I've recently come across: The Division Bell by Pink Floyd (Im an addict at this point, totally hooked on The Wall), Riot! by Paramore, Carnavas by Silversun Pickups, The Colour and the Shape (10th anniversary edition) by the Foo Fighters.
Speaking of the Foo Fighters, I fulfilled a dream of mine this past month by going to see them live. They were incredible. I mean...totally and utterly incredible, like hands-down the best live perfomance I've seen in my life. Dave Grohl...guh. So good.
Also, went to see Sparrow at the Portal in Japser like 3 weekends ago. They were excellent. They stole the show, and I'm so glad they let me be a groupie for the night. That won't be the last time I hang with them.
Been watching a lot of concert footage lately. Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, some Wolfmother.
Books
I finished Blue Like Jazz. Honestly, I was a little skeptical of the book through some points, mainly because I was still trying to fight Christianity. Then I read Searching For God Knows What. It changed the way I looked at religion. Like seriously. For those who are sitting on the fence about Christianity, read this book. I'm definetly not trying to convert people (that was one of the things I didn't like about Christianity in the first place, so I know how it feels), I'm just saying if anyone feels like they want to be Christian, but just don't feel like they can, this book helps a lot. In basic terms, I feel like I can be a Christian without all the bullshit. Its more a personal thing now. My whole image of life is changed. I'm glad of that.
So I think that is about all I have to say right now, or all I can think of at the moment at least.
My head is getting shaved probably the Friday before Spring Break. Thats it.
