This is fucking rediculous
So, hundreds of people are dying. Women are giving their babies to strangers in hope that it might give them a chance to survive. People are living in their own excrement and going without food for days. No, this isn't a story about a far off country, it is happening right here. Earlier this morning the national guard was ordered to cease the rescue mission because it is "too dangerous" to help these people.
Other countries have offered aid and we have more or less turned them down. Because we are America. We don't need aid. We give aid. And yet these images of thousands of black people displaced. I doubt if this had been a city full white people, we would be hearing things about
This is Fucking America. And where the fuck is our president? He comes on TV with two past presidents behind him and does not say a word about the bodies floating in the flood waters. Does not say how, or when relief will be there, but instead talks about oil.
