i'm so sorry the duck you ate was chewy. duck is supposed to be the opposite, far more tender than the other kinds of poultry. its one of my favorite foods.

I think I would have enjoyed traveling with you. Life is long. I'll keep it on the list of things to look forward to. Perhaps good duck too.

what kind of magic do you believe in?

lots of things can be called magic. lots of things are truly magical. the universe and its elements are complex enough for a fascinating and colorful array of infinite possibilities. with infinite possibilities, there are also infinite occurrences. such is the nature of time. with an infinite number of events, some of them will be incredibly improbable. but they will happen anyway. it is inevitable. three monkeys with three typewriters will eventually produce the complete works of shakespeare. the truly impossible thought is that nothing improbable will ever happen to you. fantastic things are happening everywhere, right now, and I think of that as magical.

I see a difference between believing in the noun "magic" and the adjective "magical" I believe in magical experiences, but not in magic. I agree that all the things you have listed are indeed magical, but I don't think they are caused by magic.

Perhaps it could be sorted out to say: I don't believe in the art of magic, but I do believe that occurrences can create a feeling of magic.
